I don’t, as a rule, really love quilts that only use fabric from a single fabric line, because… oh, I don’t know. Variety is the spice of life. Nobody had charm packs in the old days, and I like vintage quilts. And so on, and so on. So why did I buy fat quarters of the ENTIRE Nicey Jane line??? I bought 40 fat quarters, you guys. What do I even do with these?
The short answer is this: Make the best quilt in the world! The trouble is this: I’ve never been totally sure what I think the best quilt in the world would look like. I keep asking my husband what it would be, to the point that last night, he googled “Most Awesome Quilt World.”
Most of the results were video game-related quilts. Which is fair.
Anybody more decisive than me want to weigh in here? Because I have 40 fat quarters burning a hole in my sewing cupboard.*
*Who am I kidding? I took them out of the sewing cupboard and put them on display in the living room, to better accost visitors as to the best quilt in the world.
I’m sorry to say that i don’t have an answer for you. I bought almost the whole line and I’m not sure what to do now either! So I’ll be coming back and reading all the comments to this post. But what I love about this post is those heart pins. And I don’t even like hearts!

I laughed out loud at your husband googling “Most awesome quilt world”. Haha, I do things like that too. I’m sorry that I don’t have any specific ideas for your Awesome Quilt, but I can say that everything that I’ve seen made from Nicey Jane is totally and completely gorgeous and each one is the prettiest quilt I’ve ever seen. So you pretty much can’t mess it up!
Actually, I marked a flickr favorite of a Nicey Jane quilt… here it is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/twinfibers/4350055308/
You can’t go wrong with keeping it really simple and letting the fabrics just show themselves off.

The same thing happened to me with Martha Negley’s Mums line. I love them so much, but I have no clue how to make the Most Awesome Quilt in the World with all those FQs, especially since they’re so loud and busy. They might become my all snowball-quilt, or maybe an hourglass one.
Maybe you should think about stars or pinwheels or chevrons! Or how about circles?! http://www.flickr.com/photos/feeddog/3601325199/
